Liverpool: The last high

It is safe to say that in previewing a Liverpool season the phrase ‘This is our year’ will always be mentioned. The only question mark that hangs over it is whether it’s a Liverpool fan writing or anyone else. If it’s the latter, I’m afraid it will be sarcastic.

So, when I say ‘this is their year’, I’m making a funny – a joke, if you will; laughing at other people’s blind faith.

I won’t go into why this isn’t Liverpool’s year, because I imagine it’s more infuriating that way. However, you seem like the kind of person that has the time, so why not look it up yourself – start with the signings they’ve made, end at the manager; you’ll find the answer in there somewhere.

All of this leads me to question, when were Liverpool fans not delusional; when was their last actual high? Well, it doesn’t actually, but I like this song by the Dandy Warhols.

It’s good, non?
