Chelsea vs Manchester United

Sometimes even we at Surreal Football run out of jokes to make. Sometimes there just aren’t any “snide, nasty remarks” that come to mind, or any “fucking childish” pictures to draw. And it’s very rare that there’s something interesting to say. This is one of those times.

Where do we go from here, then? Because we’re not missing the chance to get free hits from a title like ‘Chelsea vs Manchester United’. The answer is we fill the piece with a(nother) post-modern look at what makes a Surreal Football piece. Brilliantly, that’s what I’m doing already. It’s very clever.

There will be those of you who call this self-indulgent, but you’re wrong. Self-indulgent implies that we take some pleasure in tapping out this kind of thing. In fact, it’s soul destroying stuff – with a penchant for eating away the will to live.

Running a website is about filling content, we’ve learned, and that means writing things even when you’re out of ideas. Usually, the first thing that comes to mind when that happens is writing about the website itself, because that’s mainly all we think and talk about. So this has been that. How fun.

Chelsea vs Manchester United. What fun.
